While we invite all to enjoy the Woodland, we kindly ask that you stick to the Purple Route shown on the attached map.
We are currently underway improving both habitat and infrastructure throughout the woodland for both yours and natures enjoyment.
While we tackle these operations over the next year, we have been busy clearing wind-blow, widening tracks, creating bridges and steps so that access is now viable on the purple walking route.
The aim is to have all designated walking routes open to public by the end of 2024. As part of our conservation works, we are looking to restore the woodland to its natural state. We will be removing non-native conifer species, planting natives, opening canopy for natural regeneration, and widening the tracks throughout.
As you walk through the woodland you will notice dead trees and branches left to the sides of tracks. Deadwood forms an important part of our conservation work in reinstating suitable levels of deadwood habitat.
