Our objectives
Dowdeswell Conservation Limited was incorporated on November 19th, 2014, with a view to conserving & enhancing the historic Dowdeswell Wood.
The charity was registered with the Charity Commission in March 2015 under the charity number 1160969.

For the public benefit, the preservation of woodland through purchase and thereafter environmental and ecological conservation of it (together with any further land acquired) providing for managed access to the relevant land:-

The woodland was purchased in February 2015 by Dowdeswell Conservation Limited from Severn Trent Water PLC. The purchase was funded by Julian Dunkerton as a gift for the local community.
